Our Cat House History

Once, all of our cats lived exclusively in private foster homes. It was thanks to caring people that we could rescue, treat, and rehome animals. But the full-scale war, the Kakhovka Dam tragedy, and the constant increase in the number of abandoned animals changed everything. The influx of cats in need of help became so huge that no private foster home could cope anymore.

That is how our small cat house came to be. Today, more than 60 cats live here. For some, it is a temporary shelter until they are adopted, and for others, unfortunately, a home for life. There are animals with chronic illnesses, special needs, or injuries that make finding a family very difficult.

This is not just a place where they live. Here they undergo rehabilitation after veterinary clinics, recover from surgeries, receive necessary injections, pills, daily care, and love. If an animal is no longer infectious and does not require a 24-hour hospital stay, it moves here, where we continue its treatment on our own.

Here they spend the winter, sleep in warmth, play, get to know each other, and begin to trust humans again. Our cat house is small but very cozy. In winter, it is warmed by a wood-burning stove, and most importantly — there is always care, peace, and a feeling of home. For many of our charges, this is the first safe place in a long time.

But we outgrew this space a long time ago. Our big dream is to create a fully-fledged, modern cat center — with spacious rooms, a quarantine zone, a veterinary block, spaces for rehabilitation, and comfortable living. This will make it possible to save significantly more cats, including those from frontline areas, where help is needed every day.

We want no animal to be left without a chance at life simply because of a lack of space. And we believe that together with you, we can make this dream come true.
